About Us
Being Environmentally Friendly
We are always working on ways to make our setting more environmentally friendly. We use recycled furniture all around Pre-School, have our milk delivered in glass bottles, grow our own fruit and vegetables, use environmentally friendly products for cleaning and many of our toys are made from sustainable resources. The children are very involved in recycling and have bins indoors and out. We talk about the impact our lifestyles have on our planet and how to look after it for the future.
Caring for our wildlife
Our garden is wildlife friendly with plants that attract butterflies and bugs and our own frog pond. The children care for the plants and wildlife in our garden. They water the plants and vegetables and have bird and butterfly feeders all around the garden. We have a bug hotel and are creating a compost heap. We have been developing a wildflower garden with seeds native to our countryside.
